Pleaes use the following trail classifications to guide you when filling out trail descriptions:
1 Primitive/Undeveloped: Tread intermittent/indistinct. May require route fi nding. Native materials only. Obstacles common. Narrow passages, brush, steep grades, rocks and logs present.
2 Simple/Minor developed: Tread continuous, but narrow & rough. Few/no allowances for passing. Native materials. Occasional obstacles. Blockages cleared to defi ne route. Vegetation may encroach into trailway
3 Developed/Improved: Tread obvious & continuous. Allowances constructed for passing. Typically native materials. Obstacles infrequent. Vegetation cleared outside of trailway.
4 Highly Developed: Trail wide & smooth w/ few irregularities. Two lane travel typical. Native or imported materials. May be hardened. Few or no obstacles exist. Grades typically <12%. Vegetation cleared outside of trailway.
5 Fully Developed: Width accommodates two lane travel or provides frequent passing turnouts. Commonly hardened with asphalt or other imported material. No obstacles. Grades typically <8%.
