I saw recently another great possibility for a footpath connecting neighborhoods: At the end of Larch Street is an townhouse/apartment complex that has a small lawn on Lily Lake. From there a fence runs along the shore of Lily Lake to the end of the runway of the municipal airfield. There is a primitive foot path along the fence. It takes a long way around by car to get from one end of this short foot path to the other. An improved path would serve many people in the Lily Lake neighborhood if they want to go to Mill Bay Road to visit stores, the hospital etc. This could help many people avoid using their cars.
Andy and Crew: Congrats on your success with the boy scouts cleaning up the beaches in Cook Bay. It is a great start.
I heard from a recent visitor that the Pillar Creek beach is in a very sorry condition again from all kinds of trash. Is it time for another big clean-up? I have not had the time to check it out.
